The Wheel

Not even time for a pee - straight from Strictly to The Wheel with no trailers or idents.

Talk about socially distanced.
It looks like someone's bleached the Minions.

The Wheel seems too big to be truly random.

Enjoying this so far. Perfect vehicle for McIntyre.

Certainly not a perfect vehicle for Christmas Day though. It's very slow as a game show too with one question every 5 minutes.

I don’t know. It’s a good show to play along with the family given the nature of the questions.

Surely it sits more as an entertainment show than gameshow, with the amount of time spent with the celebrity “banter”.

Yes, the game show element clearly needs work though. I think if it gets a second series it'll need to tweak the game play significantly - certainly promise there but it needs to be simpler to follow and ditch the switching contestants in and out.

True. Hasn’t it been confirmed for 10 episodes though? Is that including the Xmas Day Celebrity version?

Wonder how the should would fill the hour if all categories were eliminated & questions were answered first go?

Why a show with 7 celebs needs a celeb special is beyond me.

It reminds me of 5 Gold Rings. In the first series there was something there but the gameplay was a mess, but they tweaked it for the second series and it was a much better show as a result.

It also reminds me of Numberwang.

I thought the format was a bit weak but perfectly watchable.

Enjoyed the final round - good twist, thought £76k as a prize felt a bit excessive though? Predictable grumbling on Twitter but feels like £10k or so would be about right.
