We get another HTV Wales cock-up, this time being couresty of Dennis Norden. It was basically a HTV News Trailer coming from a field of cows, with Jonathon and Lucy at the camera and a cow goes for Lucy's backside and she almost blames it on Jonathon. Pretty funny.

Probably a bit sad of me, but did anyone else notice how the clip was from the Wales Tonight days, yet the background bed was the trumpets?

I could hear the trumpets too, I thought it was from 2001 or something, maybe something to do with the foot and mouth outbreak at the time, but then they said a Wales Tonight special at 6.25, which confused me.

I didn't see it on this occasion, but it was featured on a compilation HTV news did a couple of years ago.

It was definitely from Wales Tonight, which did have some trumpets too. Though it was on at a different time back then [wasn't the Bristol one called The West Tonight for a bit?], before the ITV evening news started.

Howdy all!
Great to be back
Have I missed much in the thread since my little trip down under ?
Ive had a quick trawl through the posts and its been particularly quiet! I thought the page count would be at leat 350 now. Jez doesnt seem to post as much as he once did and seems more dedicated to the Coronation Street thread rather than this one
TV Dragon - you seem to have been the stalwart of the thread and thankfully have kept it alive with the odd bit of help from Whataday and Nick Harvey!
Right i think its time we to launch the annual Daffodil watch 2004.
Have any of the welsh channels got anything planned for March 1st?
Cmon Jez I miss the weekly round-up of up and coming programmes on welsh tv!
Dont fight it - feel it!

John Charles: The Gentle Giant
Wales is in mourning for John Charles. The country's greatest-ever footballer was, simply, a colossus. This programme pays tribute to a great sportsman and gentleman. We will not see his likes again.

Perhaps you'd better explain that before you get Jez too excited and he makes a premature come-back - we're not expecting him 'til two weeks come St. Vitus' day.

Yes, otherwise you'll break the gypsy's curse and I'm told you'll be condemned to spend the next dozen new moons suffering from cheese dreams and enduring mysteriously moist legs.
By the way, is anyone interested in buying some pegs?
And don't tell me Derek's on holiday *again*.
