It is when you're trying to get from Killay [Swansea] to Maesteg in the darkness when it's chucking it down..! That roundabout junction thing at Port Talbot is a right ******* too. Pardon my language. Maesteg is always getting flooded as well, it's all very silly. Most valley towns are surrounded my mountains and hills, and don't get flooded. Maesteg is grim anyway -- I'm sure it has more drug dealers per square inch than Caracas.

Which roundabout? The one by Briton Ferry bridge by McDonalds or the one by Baglan?

TVDragon you dont have a very good opinion of Swansea do you? You called the town centre a dump with £ shops everywhere and now you insult Maesteg! LOL Very Happy

I saw HTV News today and the lovely Juliet was the presenter. Emma Jesson did the weather.

Bad News TV Dragon your fave is doing the GMTV bulletins tommorow - guess who!

Could be worse it could be Ruth - never liked her.

Add to that the HTV News at 6pm and thats 2 1/2 hrs =7 hrs and 2 hrs for bulletins and thats 9 hrs - I was told HTV needed to screen 10 hrs a week unless the rules have changed?

Doesn't Shortland Street count as well?

No whataday - SS doesnt count as its not local - ie made in Wales for Welsh viewers. It might provide an excellent drama/soap for viewers but its no more regional tha Coro St and Emmerdale are really.

SS is one of my fave programmes though so im glad that HTV and the other Carlton controlled regions are showing it

I ain't bothered -- I don't do GMTV on Mondays. So it's Jayne Case for me tomorrow.

Nice to see Juliet back though -- she's looking well too. I don't think we'll see much more Ruth anyway, she wasn't the hardest of workers even when she wasn't pregnant.

I'm glad Ruth doesnt appear much - she gets on my nerves sooooo much - does anyone else find her annoying too?

Oh, and as for reaching the 10hrs a week tally, I think you underestimated the time the HTV bulletins take up.

Weekdays: 1055-1100 ; 1505-1515 ; 2320-2327 [shall we say 7 mins -- times vary]
Equals 22mins x 5 = 110mins

Saturday: 1305-1310 ; 1700-1715
Sunday: 1355-1400 ; 1635-1655
Equals 45mins

So that's 2hrs 35mins.. Or 9hrs 35mins. The 10 hours figure is a weekly average over a year. As we have seen, some weeks are very regional, and will make up for those weeks that aren't.

ISTR that someone here said that it counted as a regional programme, as it's bought and broadcast individually by the independent companies, in this case HTV.

Well someone here said the local news bulletins were about 2 hrs a week excluding the 6pm one so its not my fault I underestimated it.
