And Jez -- all I'm saying is, that thread isn't about GR anymore, it's about ITV regional news, but the title hasn't been changed. HTV news is so old now, they'd almost certainly be in the first bunch to get done, if it goes ahead, imo.

Yes I know what you are saying, I said thanks to you for letting me know didnt I, I wasnt being moody like I was the other day Laughing All im saying was I didnt read the thread before you mentioned it because I thought it was just about Granada News, it was a coincidence I asked about a rebrand for HTV News in 2004.

I wonder if they will get rid of any of the reporters/presenters in this rebrand, who would you axe from HTV News? Also I suppose it is a bit daft calling the programme "HTV News" when the channel is no longer HTV, although it will be sad seeing the name HTV disappear forever if it is true.

Tell you what, let's start the New Year by getting this thread back onto the front page!

Anyone else working tonight, or is it just me? Ah well, Hogmanay Live a bit of a damp squib, but at least I've got Smokey and the Bandit to look forward to!

Last look at the Snowflakes (for this year?) at 02:44 - if Hogmanay Live don't run out of things to do and come off early.

Anyway - Happy New Year!

Yeah, myself and the girlfriend snuggled up and watched Smokey & the Bandit! Smile

Nice sign-off aswell, Steve, into News 24 - although the intro to N24 was a bit dodgy, someone in London a bit trigger happy with the fader? Wink

We try to make the effort! Just crashing in to N24 mid-story on a long mix (as usual) so used our own N24 titles. The random audio fade is due to the now famous Pro-Bel "stuck lag bug", although I'm reliably (?) informed it's a feature, not a bug!!

Also, somehow I was a day ahead of myself. Last Snowflakes will be tonight not last night Embarassed but at least you got the full 30" last night.

Looking around the forum this day, there seems to be a lot of anger. Shouty people and short tempers. Allow me to spread some love then, starting in this thread of dreams. Mind you I've nothing really tv-ish to say. Erm...

BBC Wales peeps should mention their name at the end more often, especially when they're away from network. But I am getting better, can definitely recognise the three from here -- and another one I think called Gareth thingybob. I don't know the Desmond Tutu one's name.

Leighton mentioned his name on christmas morning -- but that's hardly a challenge, let's be fair.

So, happy new year -- and I see Play your Iraqi Cards Right is on this evening too.

Peace, brother, my temper is as long as 2004 itself.

May the dung of a thousand yaks fuel your boiler through all the cooler seasons.

Let love and mellow tranquility settle upon Culverhouse Cross, Llandaff and your house, for ever.

And may the cowpat of contentment wait for you when you first step out of your door, starting from tomorrow.

Tis this thread's first birthday on Sunday also I believe. I do hope everyone pops in for some local nibbles. It's rude not to.

I see HTV's Helen Callaghan has defected to the BBC -- I saw her on Breakfast this morning. You know, the one with the funny fringe.

But I think HTV have got Fishlock back, for another fascinating series.

So are we planning to launch page 300 on an unsuspecting world to coincide with the anniversary?

As the official launcher of page 200, I need to know whether to be prepared, finger tips poised over keyboard.

As the official warm up act to the launch of page 200 , I will try to be around at the time - if only to annoy young Jez again. Smile
