I see Stuart's being the consummate professional once more -- glad to know he's not letting the station down..

It's certainly bright, but sunny's taking it a bit far, don't you think.. Cool

And if Andrew's back in the morning, I may decide to become informed of the news, weather and travel for the Westcountry or the north of Scotland, or anywhere but HTV Wales!

And yeah Jez, I reckon Juliet would take over -- she's only been at HTV a few years, and yet still looks kind of young in the position, what with the time she spent away with The Ferret. As to replacing Jonathan -- Steve would be fine as a temporary measure, but an up-and-coming young male anchor? Shocked Erm, not Lee Walters I hope.. LOL, we could have our first strong valleys accent on the HTV newsreading team.. unless he goes the way of Lucy '5 Years Elocution' Cohen..

I practically live on a beach on one of the UK's most westerly points so the sun sets here at the last possible moment. Another 5 mins and the sun will be over the horizon Rolling Eyes

TD - I only get 2 ITV regions - West and Wales so I can only watch the GMTV bulletins on those = That bloke who does them for HTV West is just as bad as Andrew.

I suppose I could watch BBC Wales LOL

Whats wrong with Lee Walters? he seems much more capable than Stuart or Richard! He doesnt read the news though - just reporting.

Ive seen Steve and Andrew Jones both fill in for Jonathan and Juliet or Tara usually fill in for Lucy with Sally Johnson appearing once in a while at 6pm. I dont think Carole, Justina, Catherine Evans or Stuart/Richard have ever done HTV news at 6pm?

Cool I have a friend who lives in Broadhaven. He surfs down on the beach close to where he lives too.

I *will* not tolerate such disgusting language!

And Jez, I agree with what you wrote -- I don't like the HTV West morning guy either, which is why I'd probably go to another region, or London, or switch to BBC ONE or I don't know, stick him out. And I've never seen those other male reporters do the 6pm news either -- but I'm wondering who would be suitable to take over from Jonathan permanently, should he be snapped up by someone else. Seems a bit strange to replace him with someone older, but I don't see why not.

Lee Walters and Juliet Piper would make a good team I reackon.

The HTV West guy is called Peter Rowell - he is terrible - well is there an HTV WEst presenter that is good? Jenny Hull and Richard Lyddon arnt anywhere near as good as our Lucy, Jonathan or Juliet!

Has Cath ever done the 6pm programme? I doubt it cos she would have to talk nicely to the other presenter LOL

As far as im aware there is nothing wrong with Carmarthen, but TD has issues with certain places like Swansea City Centre for example Very Happy

Oh good God, where do I start! Shocked
By the way I was brought up there till I was about 10 and have been a few times since, just to check if what I remember is true, and hell it certainly was.

It's a horrible place, in my experience -- the people are nasty and spiteful, very insular, they turn their backs on you, they're hateful to English people, and even to people from the next county along.. The main towns in the middle of the county, Carmarthen and Ammanford are going *nowhere* -- they're stale and produce similarly stale people. I hate the place sooooo much. Most young people I know couldn't wait to leave there either, and did.

I can't speak so much for Llanelli.

The coastline is, however, lovely -- as are the castles. But soon as you come inland to the many farms and weird backwater towns with horrible inward mentality, it's soul destroying. It's the only place in Wales that's worse than Anglesey, and my word that's saying something!
