Oh Andrew Jones is the weekend news reader!

Confused Confused Confused

Why don't you grow up S.S - you're as bad as Jez and Jamez and transvestite dragon for posting s h i t. Evil or Very Mad

Um and who do you think you are? Mr high and mighty!

This is VITAL information which many people will be pondering over tonight and having a restlest night's sleep over!

This will also prevent the plethora of requests from Jez/TVD/Jamez asking who is the weekend news reader!

There is no pleasing some people on this forum!

YOUR name should be changed to bored, bland, cowboy!

Just for the record, I'm not particularly interested, but please don't take that as an insult. I'm glad that people feel that they can post info here.

Obviously there are the spoilt c*nts who also post on this thread purely for their own satisfaction of insulting people.

Good review of the football season for the Welsh clubs on HTV earlier on. Good to see HTV is still taking the football seriously, some of the other regions with more league teams in their area haven't had any such programme.

This record -- put on it as well that I've no interest in the weekend reader either, never have done. I hardly switch the tv on at weekends, it's usually such a disappointment.

I know Broadband Cowboy loves me really, it's obvious.
But if only I could see the eclipse this far south, I'd be a happy chappy..

The text below has been posted in the lounge but as you've mentioned it here ..................

For the record. Annular eclipse fully visible from Portgordon, came into view while I sat on the harbour wall at a little after 4.40am

A little cloud cover added to the experience, truly magical.

If you're into wildlfe, the bonus for me was being met at the harbour by an Otter. I managed to get to within 2 metres of it before it decided to jump into the water for safety.

All change at HTV?

Andrew Jones is confirmed as the weekend news presenter BUT more interestingly ITV1Wales weather person James Wright is forecasting for all regions this weekend! Has there ever been a bloke presenting the local Carlton weathers at the weekend?

Also NEW BMI Baby sponsorships clips on the HTV Weather - now much more annoying than the previous versions as the 'baby' now laughs and doesnt really fit the clip at all.

The only thing that hasnt changed this weekend is the news getting cut off at the end with the weather stopping the news jingle half-way through!

Well I didnt watch HTV News today cos I knew Mr Sad would be on so I didnt see James on the weather. I think he does the weather for Central and HTV West on occasions during the week but ive never seen him on the weekend. They should share it - have Charlie, Emma, James and Ruth on a rota basis so they all share weekends for Central and HTV.

I only watch the GMTV bulletins when Sally or in particular Justina is on cos she is my fave, so ive no interest when Andrew is on.

Wales and SMG were the only regions to actually have an opt in the schedules this Sunday afternoon. SMG have their sport and language commitments, and Wales went with Arfon all dressed up for his second programme at the Urdd Eisteddfod.

Great to see Mr Haines-Davies having fun banging on some bongos and having a nosey round the place. I don't like Mr Urdd, he's in the same league as Mr Wimpy and frightens me.

Arfon's face lit up when there was talk of old fire engines -- the singing and performances were just a distraction from the real interest, of course.

Arfon really needs to be on Sundays more often, instead of his two programmes hidden away in the housewife slot. As Mr HTV, it's only fair. Deluged with requests for autographs, I'm sure he was..

Pan-regional James Wright again this afternoon -- the lucky lucky things the Westerners and Midlanders are..

LOL, good old Arfon.

Everyone (over the age of 15) knows who he is in my house. My dad called him 'Wiggy', which I thought was hilarious. Smile

Arfon probably has a model train set in his loft, and even wears the train drivers hat, with an old badge with the aerial htv logo on the front. Wink

Dilwyn is slightly odd. He's quite scary too - I was about 5 or 6 when I remember him sitting behind the HTV desk introducing programmes. Anyone with a scary beard is likely to frighten a 6 year old! Laughing

I was at the Eisterfodd as part of the rota for work on Friday - Oh god I went in that Caffi Mistar Urdd. Nice to see HTV cover it cos I didnt see anyone from HTV there - there were people from S4C though.

LOL I remember when I was about 5 seeing all the HTV old school doing the annoucing - Arfon , Dillwyn, Margaret, and I also remember Sue Powell Reid was there sometimes too. As soon as in-vision annoucing was axed I feel it went downhill - Arfon went to the news, Dillwyn to the weather, Margaret left. Sue and Dan were good announcers though. I agree Dillwyn was always a bit odd - I disliked him even more when he was on the weather forcast and I was glad when we got Charlie, Emma etc from Carlton instead as I never really took to Lorna either. I like James Wright too. Nice to see him to West and Central this weekend. So if Ruth Wignal is pregnant again I guess we wont see her for ages on the weather? Wonder if they will get Joanna Rice in to replace her?

Tara Eugene just presented the Late bulletin on HTV Wales

PS we had that London announcer introducing a few programmes again tonight!

Why does this keep happening? Is it the shape of things to come?
