The issue with Meghan is that she takes everything to heart and can’t let it go. There was also a page six article that insinuated (based on clip) that the fighting continued off stage. Elisabeth was back a week or two ago promoting a book and said one thing was that we never really fought off stage. Meghan replied I wonder how that is.

Joy is clearly loved there since they asked her back after retiring and have her acting as moderator. Based on what I heard no one has bad issues to say about her. Based on that clip with Elisabeth - Joy knows it’s a show.

Meghan doesn't really do it for me.

I like Joy the best.

I sat in the audience for an episode when i went to New York in 2017. It's like Loose Women but on the careful side. Not once did any of the hosts bring up which fella they're sleeping with this week, what kinky sex stuff they do with their partners. It was like watching a news programme but i did enjoy it. Whoopi did an hilarious commentary over a montage they showed of the times Donald Trumps wife was seen not wanting to get romantic with him in public.

Meghan and Joy clash almost on daily bases, sometimes it's cheeky and fun, other times not so much.

This was probably their worst moment, so far....

While I think Meghan was right in the first clip (Joy makes everything about Trump), she was absolutely vile here, saying ''I miss Whoopi when she's not here'' and acting as a spoiled brat. Notice the look Ana gives to Joy after that line, she can't stand Meghan either.

I love how they're sat in a Santa's Grotto yelling at each other.

It's interesting that Abby is a conservative but she seems to get along a lot better with the rest of the panel than Meghan.

That’s because S&P would never allow it. Were a little more prudish on TV but they have talked about sex before. I do remember learning the word orgasm at six when I was home from school when Meredith Vieira said she was having one right there.

I’m okay if they discuss it but I think I saw a clip when I was watching ITV This Morning on YouTube where they were discussing vibrators, which one the testers liked best, showed it’s motion, etc. I was surprised something that would air at what before 10 AM? It may be talked about here but not the depth they went into.

I don’t know the official Ofcom rules, but as children are not expected to be watching at that time, I think it’s generally allowed. If it were on at 5pm for example, then it would be different.

I thought Joy was fired/let go for a year? She mentioned in her 20 years of being on the show.

I do like Meghan on the show but she always seems fired up, like she's constantly on the attack. She also doesn't get into sex talk and often sits with a sour look on her face. I wonder if she gets an 'easy ride' (as noted above, which I don't think she does) because of who her father was.

If you watch every day, like I do, you will know Joy, Sunny and Meghan go out for drinks quite a lot so I wouldn't think there's any issue. It's very tabloidy of us to start assuming some of the co-hosts don't get along. It's pointed out numerous times that they can have disagreements but you move on afterwards.

Joy retired, however they brought her back to cohost for the two years of “retirement”. I think that’s when they went really pop culture while she was retired. I think when they brought her back was when it moved to the news division and started to focus on politics more.

Joy did not retire, she was fired. She was told her contract was not being renewed at the same time as Elisabeth.

The following season (17) - Barbara's last - added Jenny McCarthy to the lineup, but at the end of season 17 she was fired along with Sherri Shepherd in anticipation for the big relaunch and the return of Rosie O'Donnell.

The season 18 relaunch was fairly radical, ditching the dining table and chairs for a coffee table and low chairs. The Rosie/Whoopi combination was disastrous and ratings floundered. They reversed a lot of the changes and brought the tall table back by January of that season, but it was clear that Whoopi and Rosie were not working well together. I think Rosie left before the end of that season and it was a hugely unsettled panel with faces coming and going through the year.

Joy was brought back for season 19 and things have been far more on a par with the old days (of course the current political situation in the states doesn't harm the show).
