Wasn't this supposed to be in HD Widescreen in the US.

Did it survive/was it shown in 16:9 widescreen in the UK?

Or did we get some dodgy HD->525->625 feed.

There was a HDTV transmission of Superbowl on Astra 19.2E, labelled DPC TV 3, Premiere Sport had an anchor at the stadium itself, with their usual aston style, but an english version was also available on their second soundtrack.

Did you enjoy watching the HD? Are you using your PC and a cheap DVB-S card pointing at 19.2? If so what software? I wasn't able to arrange for a 19.2 dish for the Superbowl - but am setting up a system for Euro1080 which is currently FTA in the same orbital slot at 1080/50i.

FFS - it was only a tit. But enough about Justin Timberlake. It was only a breast, and not even a nice one (and I am speaking as a fan of breasts here). It's nothing more than you'd see on any beach in most parts of Europe, or at most sporting events in America after everyone's had a few Buds.

That's America for you. CBS news last nigth said it (and MTV) could be fined by regulators for obscenity.

If it had happened in Britain OfCom wouldn't bat an eyelid.

So what time did this go out in America. It baffles me how US network TV is so prudish while in Hollywood almost anything goes. Also saw in the papers that serial streaker who appears on This Morning made an apperance at the Superbowl.

Fining the broadcaster would be unfair - they are their to film the event and that's what they did!

However, this weekends Grammys are now going to have a delay on them.

In this case, it was the broadcaster, or rather their underlings MTV, who arranged and put on the strip show. Do you really think that a strip show is suitable prime time viewing on broadcast television?

It's hardly a strip show! Americans are such prudes, land of the free my arse.

Suddenly now everyone at the FCC is realizing the sex shouldn't be in prime time network TV. Duh, people have been complaining for over 3 years about it in prime time. Cable/Satelite channels it's everything goes, and that's no problem, but damn so many hypocrites are coming out of the woodworks.

Hello noggin

I unfortunately do not have a PCI card, but my non Sky receiver shows a jumbled up picture, and I could pick up the sound clearly, I watched the Superbowl on Premiere Sport itself. Smile

I didn't see Justin and Janet having sex. It was just a tit for god sakes. The other half of the population all have them!

Yep - isn't it amazing that such a fuss should be caused by this - when far more worrying levels of violence have been part of US Network TV since at least the 80s...

Some American goody-goody is suing CBS for billions of dollars for this "indecency".

I personally think that's alot more indecent than the flashing of a breast.
