North Tonight has to stay, personally from watching NT when I was on holiday to compare it with our ST - NT comes out the overall and outstanding winner!

Through the years Grampian may have been the poor relation in Scotland and because so was often the butt of jokes around the UK. On saying that in comparison to what SMG are offering now Grampian was a first class operation.

I remember great productions from Queens Cross – Points North and then Crossfire were undoubtly far superior to the now Politics Now show that just seems to fill a time slot on a Thursday night. I remember the fantastic “We the Jury” with Anne McKenzie, the many great documentaries made by the station e.g. “Oil” and “A Prince Amongst Islands”, “Top Club” (longest running quiz on itv), the most watched regional show “The Art Suttar Show” live on a Friday night, “Living and Growing” (sex education for school children) and of course the great in vision announcing team that came into our homes every day that were more like our friends and not just a voice behind an ident.

Grampian will go…….and that is a disgrace!!

STV will be here from Tuesday…………don’t mock Grampians achievements over the years…….look at what we have today and then you can laugh!!

The only bad thing Grampian did was sell out to SMG!

Scotland Today is Scotland Today and North Tonight is North Tonight - two incredibly famous brand names with long histories. Why the heck are they not printing both titles?

Is it because they are just plain lazy or flipping stupid? On the other hand - it could just simply English bias!

Dont want to sound a moan but we also encounter central belt bias too......take the grampian website at the moment it directs us to the Scottish one.....what if we want local news ehh?? We (up north) are just forgotten about!!!

All this Glasgow and Edinburgh bias is doing my head in - I hate it. I can understand that most crimes are committed in the two biggest cities in the country - but that's no reason to neglect the others!

I doubt the announcer would say anything (announcements are shared between the two). You might hear something on North Tonight.

Yes, but some announcements are recorded, such as the one at 9.25am.

I'm probably being picky here, but, will STV have new weather graphics along with the new look?
I really hate the current ones, they look like something from the 80s.

Forgot about them. I would think so - the current ones were crap after about a week of them being on air.

And the dodgy music that comes with the weather has got to go.
