Well on two points then...

I believe STV are having a Hogmanay show again this year as they've been asking people to email in with messages for family members.

And on the conflicting trailers - I've spotted this before with The Mint, where they clearly just went back to the network feed a little too early. Sounds like they might just have done it again. Either that or someone hasn't told continuity of the regional variation.

Either way, more than a little sloppy. I'm not sure what STV do any more to be honest. They just throw their crappy idents on before programmes, revoice the exact same script for their trailers, and beyond that there are very few regional programmes any more.

Very little of note these days, sorry to say.

But it might, I say might just get a little better in the impending future.

I don't think UTV will fix it. They're unlikely to change much, aside from maybe falling off the air a bit more often.

Embarassing to watch Scotsport limping along with not enough highlights to justify 90 minutes. The programme's only that long nowadays because they ditched the first division programme to save money. And Andy Walker's autocue reading is embarassing - the worst since Derek Johnstone.

Have to say though, very very weird to hear Rob McLean on STV (obviously only because they use Setanta's coverage).

I always thought the idea of having Scotsport as a 90 minute programme was ridiculous for the SPL. An hour would be perfect for it.

But I suppose it's easier for STV to fill up their regional times by keeping it at 90.

I think it's a great idea, and in 3/4 days, stv have managed to raise £400K. So well done, stv.
