I have been getting all nostalgic ever since they changed their name back to STV (not that any of us actually called it anything other than STV.........)

Remember this guy???

Come on now folks - bet you can't hum the theme tune all the way through???????? Try!!!!

You are correct, I cannot remember the tune at all.Is it Glen Michael? Was he the guy on a Sunday afternoon who carried a lantern about with him?

Yes indeed John. Glen Michael's Cartoon Cavalcade. Sunday afternoons at 2pm. His oil lamp was called Palladin, and his wee dog was Rusty.

The theme tune went like this: " La la la-la-la, la la la-la-la. lala. la lala. la lala. la lala. la la la la la la lala......do do doom boom. (Repeat...)

He is now a DJ on a Radio Station in Glasgow, apparently.

Probably SAGA FM...Hardly think "real" or "clyde" would be an ideal audience....

All day, STV have been running a trailer for Scotsport, informing viewers about the start of the new series at 11p.m. on Monday. It is a shame nobody informed the continuity announcer, who told everyone that it is back tomorrow at 11.35p.m. at the end of Poirot. The result is total confusion for viewers.

Jim told us on Scotland Today that Scotsport is at 11pm the night, instead of 11.35pm as papers were advertising! Confused

Anyone going to tune in Rolling Eyes ? I can't as I've got work in the morn, and usually any fixtures involving my team (Kilmarnock) are always in the second half of the show (unless the Old Firm are the opposition)! Mad

There is good news of course....

THIS IS MY 300TH POST! Shocked WOW! Very Happy

I wont be watching scotsport, I hate Jim delahunt Mad . But, anyone notice that the scotsport set looks remarkabely like the soft set set aside in the ST model from a while back. Right down to the couches! Just theres a bit more red in the decor. Do they share one big studio or are they seprate at stv towers Razz ?

I won't be watching either because I loathe football.

Where they are taping Scotsport depends on whether they need space for an audience, like last time.

If its all being done by Jim with no audience then they are probably sharing space in the Scotland Today studio.

Otherwise they would need to go back to RSAMD with OB trucks, like the last series.

Does anyone think Scotsport would be better off on at the same time as Tam Cowan's (Motherwell Fan doh!) Offside? Confused I do - it would make better and stiffer competition.

No. I need a non-football alternative to both programmes.

New ident for Scotsport - basically just a few men playing football on a beach. Hopefully we'll see more additions to the set.
