Seems nice enough - yet to see it on TV yet, but just going by downloads. Also seems pointless though. As pointed out earlier, every networked show refers to ITV1 - unless SMG are just trying to get ITV PLC buy them out to have a united brand across the UK, why not make the switch? You could argue that it's against local identity, but they've just killed off the Grampian brand, and don't Channel TV use ITV1 idents nowadays? Surely a station is judged more by the programmes it produces (or doesn't) rather than 15 second adverts before programmes that no-one notices.
I believe the phrase may be pissing against the wind. It all seems a little transitional, as if they've got rid of the Scottish bit, and killed Grampian, next is ITV1. And no doubt, like HTV, ITV PLC will argue that they've restored the name Scotland to the logo as well when it happens (for approximately six months, before they ditch it altogether. Argh, there's that word again).
Don't get me wrong - ITV in central Scotland should be STV, and the restoration of the original name is the best thing about this. But it all seems a little out of date.
Nice to hear the announcers sound marginally more enthusiastic than previously though.
Not a fan of the 'altogether' thing though - that's just going to baffle casual viewers.
Would have been nice if they'd done an opening three minutes of the idents connected together with the soundtrack of Altogether Now by The Farm (in a sort of ITV1 style), but you can't have everything.

I think a lot of the audience are sophisticated enough to get it (there has been a surprising amount of press about the conjoined branding), and those that aren't probably won't notice the phrase.

It must be strange for viewers in the Grampian region who watch ITV2, 3 & 4 and GMTV and therefore see constant promos for programmes on ITV1. Yet today have seen there channel receive a new name, STV. It does seem a bit pointless, and unless the digital channels were regionalised, there's no way to avoid this
I wonder if SMG regret flogging their digital channel. I know the logic was that it was so viewers in Scotland would receive the ITV Sport Channel and so forth, and that they would probably have been pressurised to do it. But can you imagine S2, S3, S4 in addition to STV (or even S1)? All they would need to do is provide different presentation, there would presumably be very little need for regional programming, and they could watch the cash come in.
