so are the days of the announcer saying "on this channel" well and truly over??

Yup. They're using the station name again. Very Happy

Maybe they are using your station name again........but I can assure you they are not using mine!!!!!!!!! Crying or Very sad

And they're never going to use ''your station name'' again. Just face the facts, you're going to have to get over it.

Oh I don't know.....if itv plc buy out SMG they will take back the Grampian brand for regional programmes. That once apon a time would have been a horrible thought but now I only hope its sooner rather than later.

Well the weather has changed slighty. The 'Scottish Weather' intro has been replaced by a strange-looking overlay saying 'stv weather'. The fonts have changed and they've got rid of that annoying "For a full 7 day forecast..." thing.

The now and next screen is very different. 'Next' in the top right and the big STV logo in the bottom left.

I'm sure the breakbumper has got a new animation (the 's' animates in from the bottom) now.

yes, i bet you'll just love having your regional news produced in london which no doubt is the next step in the itv plc game plan. it may have escaped your notice but every other region has lost it's regional identity over the last 10 years - from channel 3 north east to carlton regions to itv1. grampian are all but last to have their regional name dropped - its really not a great surprise is it?

Well, Watch to Win hasn't had a new look, but the new logo is there now.
That's a shame, really. I think they should make new graphics for that, and the weather, in the new colours.

Well so far this thread has flip-flopped from jingoistic nonsense of the highest order, to north Scots residents calling for an English based local service.

So which is it?

still no caps?

Selfish Scotsmen, if it was a change in Wales/England/NI we'd post caps for you to look at!

It seems odd that on SKY all the sub-regions are simply shown as "stv", whereas they used to show the dinstinction between the different areas.

Since they have bothered to give them official titles (STV Central, STV North, STV Edinburgh etc) why not use them on the EPG?

Stv Is not too bad and it's good to see some of the Itv 1 branded being added on to Adverts.

I'm disappointed at that myself.

I'll see if I can get some up when I get home from work.

I'll have a try at 17:30, but I have to do it live as Sky+ won't record from "added channels" Confused

Here's a very poor quality shot of the STV Weather slide, it's taken from the Scotland Today website:

And, I see there still isn't a ''serious'' ident for the news.
