I'm guessing it'll be referred to STV North... as for the region names I am lead to believe we have STV Glasgow, STV Edinburgh, STV North and STV Central - although none of these are used on screen? As for the new look - I'm liking it. Nice promos, love the curvy look and the idents are actuaslly quite nice. Not sure about the music yet!

Why did SMG not do what LWT did in October 2002? They had a proper farewell!

Well I just thought that would be the way they would do it..........its as though they did not want to make a big deal of the fact they have f$%&*d us up here and central Scotland bias lives on and will be even worse now than ever before!!

It was as though - if we dont mention it no one will see what we are really doing!!!

ITS A DISGRACE - SMG YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!

Roll on the day that we are bought over by ITV PLC!!

For heavens sake, they sacked their promotions people. Just who do you expect will be sitting down to create a compilation package for you?

There are plenty of technicians who are now on the dole after many years working for SMG.

Get things in perspective will you?

It's very 'fresh' looking IMO. First sighting of the break bumper was fleeting.

ECPs and promos carry a similar scheme; the white background takes a bit of getting used to. Ident wise, some are better than others; on a positive note from what I've seen so far, the rock climbing wide shot is my favourite visually.

I haven't made my mind up about the music yet; it's certainly not bad compared to some of the ITV1 compositions.

There seems to be no 'serious' plain ident for news...

Freeview is now showing 'stv'.

Has Telewest/NTL updated the name? I know Telewest have stayed with ''ITV' for years.

NTL has changed to STV. I don't know about Telewest.
