Always found Steph much more watchable outside of Breakfast and this is a tough way to launch a show, especially as C4 could have just delayed till normality returns, but from the 10 minutes or so I saw given the circumstances it is a worthy effort and not worth criticism for the sake of it. I do think non-news based live shows are important now and this is the only show that ticks the box for C4. It is not going to be perfect by any stretch of the imagination but getting something to air early should be applauded.

I wonder why Channel 4 picked 12pm as that's a fairly competitive slot with Bargain Hunt and This Morning/Loose Women.

Most C4 scheduling decisions baffle me. Even 12.30 capitalising on Loose Women not being live would make more sense.
Fair play to Steph and Co. A launch under trying circumstances. But, as many of you have already commented, Steph has a connectivity with the viewer which will help to build this show.
I couldn't help but wonder if it would have been easier to get Steph into a manned studio rather than have half a dozen crew travelling to her house to "reduce travel".
I can't fault Steph's delivery which is reassuring under the present circumstances. It wouldn't be fair of me to comment on the presentation as it's clearly not the final product.
My only criticism is shoehorning a news bulletin midway during the programme.
Rather than saying they’ve done well to launch in these circumstances, they’ve deliberately launched in these circumstances, as it wasn’t supposed to start for a few weeks yet.
