South Today have a thread, Wales have one, what about those of us stuck in this dark corner of the South West? Well here it is.
To be honest, I just wanted somewhere to express how fantastic I think Lucie Fisher is (reading Breakfast bulletins this week). Also, anyone notice tonight's unusual pairing of Teresa and Natalie? I have to say I like it.
Can I just ask, is Craig Rich still alive? He was there when i was in the region a few weeks back.
Yeah, he's alive (just) but retiring at the end of the year. For the time being he is "sharing" the job with David Braine who will take over completely after Craig has gone. In practice, this means that David does the weather for about six weeks, Craig comes back and does about two days (literally) before disappearing again!

It certainly wouldn't have been the first time.
I have always liked Craig, but he doesn't have the enthusiasm of years gone by. David is an excellent replacement and fits in really well. You get the impression the presenters like him too.

Natalie and Teresa are always good for a laugh. Far better than when Teresa is on with Sophie, when it is always quite blatantly clear that they hate each other. I'd like to see Lucie on the main programme.

Craig is great and an icon in the South West but he is getting older as the years go by so who could stop him from enjoying his retirement - it'll certainly be a big bash when he finally leaves. David fits in well and as you say, like Craig, gets on with everyone. The thing Spotlight have always done is use Craig and David as more than a weather person - they are like another presenter and they are quite happy to use them on other things.
Teresa is great and she works well with Justin. Not really seen enough of Sophie to pass judgement on her.
Just a question - does any other BBC region do the weather picture from a local child at the end of each report in the 6:30 builletin? I know some ITV companies like Meridian do this.

That's right - for example, David is currently doing a gardening bit - they're redoing the Spotlight garden.
