2 - Sorry to be blunt, but it's the 2nd, 3rd and 4th divisions were are talking about here.
In a straight fight between Manchester City - Tottenham on Sky Sports 1 or Port Vale v Walsall on Sky Sports 2 for viewers, which one do you think will win out - and be shown the pubs and bars up and down the country, with only one tv?

How many pubs showing football are there with only one TV?

Thread here of some pubs (mostly in London) that either don't have TVs at all or only use them on special occasions:

There are probably no end of pubs up and down this great land that don't have a TV at all, which may be because TV Licensing were cracking down on pubs who weren't aware that one licence didn't cover the pub area and the domestic areas.

But that being said Sky charge a fortune to a pub - minimum of £200 + VAT a month apparently was one figure I saw at some point somewhere.

Or simply that they don't see the point in having a TV. Depends what sort of pub it is, but I've got no burning desire to watch TV while in one.

Just watching the England V Scotland Match and it appears (unless I'm going mad) that ITV/UTV are showing pictures from one side of the Pitch while STV are on the opposite side. So you've a choice of two camera angles.

Just to add that TV3 are showing the same angle as STV so I presume that's the international feed.

Sky is using the opposite side to the pitch compared to ITV as well.

Sky are official host broadcasters (as it's a Scotland home game), ITV are hosting their own OB as they hold England away rights, they could have taken the Sky/UEFA feed but obviously wanted to do their own thing.

In these cases presumably for any "reverse angle" footage they'd use each others pictures.

Wouldn't have thought so, if they're being bloody minded by not co-operating and using one feed in the first place.

I doubt it's a case of not co-operating, Sky can't stop ITV from using their feeds. It's usually to do with the advertising, but were they any different? Can't see other than that possibility why ITV has bothered though seems a waste of money.

Both sets of OB trucks will be parked together in the OB compound. It's technically feasible for the two
to provide iso-feeds of some of each other's cameras, but the very fact that there are two separate OB operations, (and it's 2017 and not 1977 !), indicates some form of contractual dispute perhaps ?

BBC Two using ESPN South America graphics and scorebar during Argentina v England. A BBC-style LIVE bug popped up in the last five minutes for some reason.

USA v Ireland just starting now on Premier / EirSport2 - some rather primitive gfx used for the lineups, very Windows 98 - a lot of Arial Black and gradient. The scorebar is nothing to write home about either. Also not sure what it's being filmed on but there's a lot of vertical left-to-right digital wiping, so much so an eir Sport branded on screen apology graphic has just appeared.

EDIT: Interestingly USA v Ireland is being shown in the USA by NBCSN with their usual huge glossy NBC Sports scorebar. So no idea who the host broadcaster is who would be generating the crap graphics. Doesn't seem to be any interference on the NBCSN feed either.

To echo the above... the host broadcaster graphics for USA v Ireland are like something from the mid 1990s, not sure why we're not getting the NBC graphics. Truly awful.
