I've suggested this on that thread, and I'll put it here. With sky keen to have as many premier league packages as possible, their push on US sports, and I believe some golf rights come up for renewal in 2021, could Sky make the decision for them? Namely, sky going to the Super league, and saying "well, goodbye"?
Sports broadcaster considering bid for sports rights is to be expected - doesn't mean they will though but it is pretty clear that other sports are paying the price for the inflated prices paid by Sky especially for the Premier League rights.

Thanks for clearing that up. I forgot that had been sorted up. Does make me wonder, what may happen with Sky Sports Golf? Will they keep it as a golf channel, or perhaps rename it something, like Sky Sports stadium?
A lot of their Golf transitions to Discovery-Eurosport in 2021/2 - Already sorted.

They will still have the majors, so could just pad the channel out. They've also picked up another minor circuit. The main bulk of the moving rights are the PGA Tour events. They were chasing the European Tour which I don't think is settled yet.

Sky have basically quit rugby union at this stage - the cancelled Barbarians game was effectively the last game of their England contract - though they still have the Southern Hemisphere rugby and ran their own presentation for what is this year being billed as the Tri-Nations Series (with the old logo dug out of retirement and slightly tweaked to reflect Argentina rather than RSA’s inclusion, although it will apparently go back to The Rugby Championship next year, circumstances permitting). The Pro14 rights are now in the last year of the three year deal with eir Sport/Premier Sports and I am wondering if Premier might want out of that given that it’s a major host broadcaster effort on their part and whether there may be a way back in for Sky there.
As mentioned above Sky will be out of US golf except for the majors once the Discovery deal takes full effect, though I’m not confident the golf audience is ready to go to an OTT service yet and there may be scope to keep some coverage (though that might more likely end up on Eurosport).

PL Heard briefly today that the three exclusive matchdays might be 'played with' in the new COVID plans ahead. Some matches on the AZPV days might now appear on Sky or BT, Some of the BT exclusive matches might appear on Sky. AZPV and BT picking up replacements later in the season. Seems extraordinary but remember 20 additional matches over and above the contracted ones (12 Sky, 6 BT and 2 AZPV) were allocated at the start of the season so playing with the packs is in play already.
