The World Cup 2022 schedule has been confirmed now, taking place from Mon 21 Nov to Sun 18 Dec, with four games a day during the group stages (10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm UK time), then knock-out games being at 1pm and 7pm, semi-finals at 7pm and the final at 3pm.
So that'll mess up Strictly and I'm a Celeb, though I imagine the latter will just move to early November and finish the night before the World Cup.
Although probably more suited to the international sport thread, Fox owns both World Cup and NFL rights in the US.
On the first sunday of the tournament, two games kick-off at 11 AM and 2 PM on the east coast - right as Fox usually starts it's pre-game show for the first one and 1 hour into a NFL game for the second kickoff.
The second sunday, a round of 16, has two kick-off's at 10AM and 2PM. A similar problem.
The main problem is... the final sunday is the World Cup Final. Kicking off at 10AM. Assuming injury time, water breaks(?), extra time, penalties and the trophy lift - along with a postgame show, that would certainly impact the kick-off's of the 1PM ET NFL games.
So we could potentially see those games moved to a later time, because I do not see Fox moving any part of the World Cup final to a cable channel. This would also affect Sky's picks of the games if the games, especially if CBS keep their kick-off times at 1PM.
