As predicted here a few days ago there are to be gender equalisations in the 'Crown Jewels' imminently, also the Paralympics are to be added. The linked article is incomplete.

i.e. the events which won't upset Sky or BT.

A move in the right direction, though be interesting to see if it's the entire Womens World Cup or just home nations games and the final. I suspect in the interest of equality, and to keep things simple, it'll be all of it.

Good to see the Paralympics added, though they need to reiterate the protection of the Olympics so the event in it's entirety must be available free to air, just like the World Cup and Euros. The **** really will hit the fan next year when people realise the BBC are going back 20 years in terms of their volume of coverage.

No changes to cricket an obvious omission, especially after this weekend.
I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

And could be something that becomes an issue over the coming months - how do Ofcom explain their reasoning.

The 2020 Olympics being held in Japan means no live primetime coverage - that will temper some of the complaints and stop people noticing quite as much - nevertheless a further boost to the 'BBC should become a subscription service movement will occur as a result of it.

Not that I’m aware of.

A minor clarification, it appears that the restriction is not due to a complete lack of live streaming, Ofcom recognise that some Channel 5 apps do indeed feature this, it’s just that the numbers of these and their distribution across devices is deemed insufficient. I presume as My5 is developed across devices at some stage the threshold for numbers and distribution will be reached and the restriction accordingly removed.

Was very poor of Sky Sports this morning to show the friendly tournament Premier League Asia Trophy on Sky Sports Main Event alongside the Premier League Channel instead of the Open.

Not complaining about this as it least it is on a channel and not behind the red button but the PDC World Matchplay Darts is being shown live on Sky Sports Football tonight as they have nowhere else to put it. Sky Sports they had a lot of live sport on today as they had Netball World Cup on Sky Sports Mix, GAA on Sky Sports Arena, Rugby Championship on Sky Sports Action, The Open on Sky Sports Golf and Women's Ashes & T20 Blast on Sky Sports Cricket as well as Horse Racing on Sky Sports Racing so the only place it could go is one of the 2 football channels or the F1 channel.
