A 3rd/4th place play-off though, which considering the Euros don't have one is a bit odd.

SS Action just shown the Joshua v Ruiz fight in full and ad free. Pretty quick turn around - most Box Office fights get an outing a week or two later.

Well worth watching even knowing the result - I wasn't paying for Box Office for a 4am fight Joshua was dead cert to win. Bet Sky were annoyed England went to extra time actually.

That's only so that fans know they will be two matches to go to. Plus because most other teams are playing two matches this weekend it doesn't unbalance the points.

Anyone know how the England game rated for Sky last night. Not quite as high as their last semi-final in an international competition I suspect. Wink

Will be interesting as well to see how the Womens World Cup rates - I've no doubt the BBC are right to put the England and Scotland games front and centre on BBC1 and I think the ratings will justify that, but France v South Korea in primetime is a much bigger ask.

Moving forward games tend to be on the red button, but with an average of one game a day on BBC1, BBC2 or BBC4. This is an event where they clearly miss BBC3 as I'm sure all the evening game would be on there, but there is the argument fewer games would be on BBC1/2 if BBC3 still existed.

I preferred the internet when it had a sense of humour.

The frequency for FreeSports HD for Satellite viewers is now up on air. But it is only showing colour bars & EPG data at the moment.

FreeSports have said on Twitter that the HD channel will launch on Sky channel 422 from the 15th of July.

Freesat viewers will also get access to this channel.

Looks like a bit of "congestion" on Sky Sports this afternoon, and rugby is the loser. The afternoon Super Rugby game from South Africa was dropped completely, and the evening French semi-final is squeezed to 40minutes.

Meanwhile the World Cup cricket is simulcasted on Mix.

The French Top 14 play offs used to be on TV5 (obviously with French commentary) back in the old days, but they dropped all their UK carriage contracts a good while back.

For a time.
But Sky Sport Mix was actually showing the New Zealand V Afgahnistan game from Bristol (which was the red button game on Sky Sports Cricket) but there was a rain delay, so they switched during the break in play to Cardiff to show the England game.
My user name might look like Hatton Cross, but it's pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove.
