Why is the GMTV clock saying 3:09?
I think that programme was pre-recorded at 13:09, if I remember, and then played out the following day or something, and obviously the original time of recording was shown for one reason or another.
Day of the power cut and they couldn't show the LIVE clock throughout the whole programme but later managed to show the gmtv logo although poor quality
Wow. The DayBreak clock can display two digit hours. This is an improvement over the GMTV clock.

I don't mind at all Ste
yeah the testcard and the Daybreak clock came on right at the end before it went off air after a very long pause on a black picture, I nearly switched over and would have missed that testcard beauty!

Doesn't Gary Lineker front their Champions League coverage too?
I hope Harshy doesn't mind, but here are two screenshots he sent me of the Al Jazeera coverage of a La Liga game which came from the DayBreak studio. I think he said these were taken from a (HD?) feed on 10E of the coverage rather than the coverage directly.

When the BBC lose half of the TV rights for the F1, is there any scope for them to do what they are currently doing with the cricket, putting graphics - the scorecard and various stats on the red button with the radio commentary.
Could they do the build up in a similar style to how they currently do it - as they have highlights rights conceivably they might have access to do the pit walk still, then go to the radio commentary and graphics for the race itself, then back in vision after the race has concluded?

Wonderful effort again from ITV for their World Cup opening sequence, a pastel/smoke/paint effect effort, complete with dual language (Mãori / English) "World in Union" theme tune sung by, guess who, Hayley Westenra.
Shame Steve Rider et al had to talk all over the opening ceremony. Looking forward to four matches tonight!

I'm almost certain the set for the Rugby World Cup is the Football World Cup set reused, certainly that stack of three montors was on the set in Johannesburg and I think it's the same desk as well.

Graphics from Jump I believe. Great company who have done stuff for X Factor, I'm A Celebrity, Red or Black, as well as stuff for BBC Sport and other BBC shows like Graham Norton, The One Show etc. (They span out of ITN graphics - after doing stuff for The Day Today etc.)

Al Jazeera Sport were using the Daybreak studio before it was the Daybreak studio!
I wonder why they've moved back into there? Last summer they moved into the old GMTV studio from Studio 7, this is why GMTV in it's last few weeks was in a bigger temporary studio, they had to get out for AJ to take over
Al Jazerra have Scott Minto with Alan Shearer, Terry Venables and a welsh player in the Daybreak studio for the England v Wales match.

Everything apart from the backdrop including seats and desk seem to be from the Football World Cup, it looks good though.

Wasn't it mentioned that AJ are having their studio upgraded to HD, and hence they are booked with Studio 7 till the end of the month?

Caption fun on SS just now ... Apparantly tonights MNF is 'QPR v Rangers' and in the mix the carousel of forthcoming fixtures went somewhat mad.
