Sky Sports wouldn't employ either of them, once you're out, you're out.
Together at least. I wouldn't be surprised if individually one turned up there in some form at some point.

Now admitedly I have no interest in Match of the Day, but I must say in the last 7 years I don't think I've seen this Piero graphics system at all on either the Six Nations or the few World Cup games I've seen. Seems a bit strange to get an award for innovation seven years after it was invented too.

It looks to me like the system used to mark out areas of play with yellow striped boxes, highlighted players, run tracking, 3D layouts which show you where and when players where at the time of a free kick etc.... it's well used believe me.

Sometimes you can't judge the effects of innovation until a number of years later.

It's been in widespread use by the BBC and other broadcasters for years. It's the thing that tracks players on replays (with the spinning little circles and arrows showing their paths).
Innovation awards are often given quite a few years after the first invention - it takes a while to separate short-lived gimmicks from genuine innovation. Piero is widely licensed technology now I believe.

Well Jamie Redknapp was previously the main pundit when Gray was commentating and often appeared in the studio alongside him so in my view he’s on just as much. I can’t imagine him to commentate anytime soon as they’ve signed Gary Neville for that from next season. I hope MNF would go back to the original format but I see it very unlikely as they don’t really have anyone with the presence Keys and Gray had on MNF. Although I think Stelling is the best presenter they have left he has other commitments such as countdown and soccer Saturday which makes him unlikely also he anchors the champions league and carling cup coverage.
Baring all of this is mind I think Ed Chamberlin who has really impressed me with his presentation style or Ben Shepherd who can appeal to the fans as he is a genuine west ham supporter and is well known should take over Key’s role and Ray Wilkins who has been great on the champions league/ premier league should be given an expanded role.
Keys and Gray will never appear on sky again with the exception maybe of the latter appearing on Goals on Sunday in a few years but I think their content with their talksport show.
I wonder if Sky are grooming Jamie Redknapp as Andy Gray's long term replacement, he does seem to crop up on Sky Sports football coverage quite a lot. I've yet to hear him in a commentary box but maybe it's only a matter of time. Although I also have a theory that Sky are biding their time until they can re employ Gray and Richard Keys again with the minimum of uproar.
Still if it doesn't happen, I reckon the traditional MNF format may return net season with possibly Jeff Stelling and Jamie Redknapp in studio.

Ah, I know what you mean now - one of those things you kind of take for granted.

Yep - that often describes some of the greatest innovations in TV. Paintbox, Aston, DVEs etc. are similar 'take for granted' tools.

Extraordinary pledge by ESPN .... their coverage of the Cup Final will be commercial free for three hours from 2.30pm. Could be pivotal for those with the choice of the channel.

Can't remember if they went ad-free, but Setanta went FTV for the entirety of its FA Cup final coverage a couple of years ago. Won over at least 3 viewers: we watched it at a mate's house on a Freeview IDTV - John Champion infinitely more preferable to the ITV commentary.
