Can anybody tell me when Channel 4 will start broadcasting the Simpsons? I know the BBC have five more episodes of season 10 to broadcast from Monday so I expect that the week beginning 15th Dec will be season 11? Also, what happened to the "Homer vs the city of New York episode"? Has it been banned from being shown seeing as homer visits the World Trade Centre?

Sorry for the rather jumbled post-it has been a busy and tiring week!

Series 11 starts at 18:20 on Friday, straight after the end of Series 10 as it's a triple bill that day. The series continues into next week to episode 6 on Thursday 18th.

DigiGuide doesn't show what's on Friday 19th December.

Episode 9 is at 18:35 Christmas Eve (following a rerun of Series 9 Ep 10 ).

That's all that's been scheduled so far.

I can't imagine that it's been banned, but it probably was withdrawn for a while for reasons of taste. I'd imagine it's back in circulation now, but just hasn't been shown.

Certainly Channel 4 and E4 still show the episodes of Friends when Chandler has an office in the trade centre

I wonder if Channel 4 will put The Simpsons as part of the T4 strand

The BBC have the rights to Season 9 currently - which the WTC episode is in, but have never shown it. From a personaly point of view, I can't really see why. It's been shown many times in the USA (and remember we do live in the UK ! Wink)since 9/11, and it's not as if it's specifically making fun of the event. It could even be seen as tribute to the buildings. Also the most offencive line, if people were to go about seeing it like this, is something like "All the idiots are in tower 1" - and even so it could be cut out. I do have sympathy for the vicitms of 9/11, but this is going a bit far.

Anyway sorry for my waffle, it's only my opinion so dont take it to seriously. I imaginge that when sky get the rights back to Season 9, it will be shown then

They wouldn't dare.

I remember BBC were going to show the episode a few months ago, but it was replaced with another one at the last minute.

Of course, the same thing happened on the 11th September 2001- an episode where Sideshow Bob hijacks Bart in an aeroplane was also replaced. And Sky One removed a scene in another episode where Homer watches 'When Buildings Collapse' for a while too.

I hope that Channel 4 show The Simpsons at 6pm every weekday and not part of the T4 strand. Not that I don't mind T4, but the T4 schedule seems not to show programmes at a fixed timeslot. At least with a peak 6pm slot before Hollyoaks, we would all know when it is on everyday.

Hopefully, C4 would keep the seasons and episodes more up-to-date, like SKY | one. It will probably be broadcast within T4.

Arrow Does anyone have an exact date for the "Simpson's Come to Britain" episode? They said it would air in Jan - but on SKY| one or BBC TWO?

It is going to be on Sky One sometime in January, BBC Two don't have the rights for this episode at all, Channel 4 do, BBC Two have the rights to the season which ended in 2001, and then Channel 4 gets rights from the episodes from 2001-2002 season, which I think is Season 13, as I think we're now on Season 15.
