Andrew, it used the same music, but different titles (live action, not computer generated)

No, the original CD:UK music was slightly different to now. The voice used to say 'Countdown UK' in the background (like they still do after performances). Now it's just 'CD:UK'. The music was also slightly different, I think the current one is just a remix.
IMHO the original look of CD:UK was the best, all white and that. I wasn't keen on the last look, the purple one, but the current one is pretty decent.

I have the CD titles aswell from that era if your interested. They used their original guitar theme before it was re-mixed.
