The review is going to be cut from a weekly show to a monthly show, and is moving from BBC 2 to BBC 4:

Not a good move IMO, as it will inevitably result in reduced viewing figures, and could result in it eventually being axed completely.

How come? That show is really successful. Good talk about arts.

I'm not so sure - peaktime on BBC4 can probably attract a better audience than late night on BBC2, and it is moving to a channel where it's audience is likely to find it.

Any news on if Newsnight will be expanded to 50 minutes on Friday nights as a result?

Monthly? How many other monthly programmes are there these days? Crimewatch and The Sky At Night is all I can think of.

I see that BBC Four are also ending drama content on the channel. Does this mean the end of Borgen and Sprial?

No - it's just UK original drama production that's been cut.

Richard Klein committed the channel to being the home of foreign-language drama in the UK - which is acquired (and a lot cheaper than production)

It's better off on BBC4 but the reduction to monthly seems an odd move in these cost-concious times. It must be a fairly cheap hour of TV

And even cheaper if you make 12 instead of 50...
