I just wondered if any of you can answer my queery.
When Jeremy Vine say and "..now to your area.." Is the area the same as regional news, and do they use the same studio, but tart it up to look like the main programme, and who presents the programme, is it a political correspondant?
It is the same regions yes. Some may 'double-up' such as the Southampton and Oxford South Today's. Not sure about the Look Noths etc. Which studio they use is up to the region. It's normally the same studio with more comfy chairs, smaller desk, and Politic Show graphics on plasmas and astons etc.
I know that the BBC LDN opt goes from City Hall and not the usual Marylebone studios.

Thanks, and i hope you can help
Yes - in the main the regional opts match the local news regions - and the programme either comes from a "tarted up" studio - Norwich's new one looks very good - or from a location (like BBC LDNs which comes from the GLA building)
There may be some regions that merge - like East and West Midlands, and South and South East - and I don't think any sub-regions (like Oxford, Cambridge, Jersey or Hull) split.
The North West Politics Show comes from New Broadcasting House's reception area with Oxford Road in the background and a bus stop. The set looks very similar to that of the main programme in London. The opt has been done from the NWT studio with silver blinds over the red parts of the wall and a dfferent shot in the window, they didn't use the 'soft' side with the big screen for some reason. I assume the reception area set is used as the programme is supposed to be 'at your street'.
The opt is normally presented by Jim Hancock or Stuart Flinders if Jim's not around.
Look North (Leeds & Hull) is done from the Leeds Soft Set, with grey panels on the walls, a different window scene and Politics Show monitors and other stuff in the background. It's presented by Cathy Killick with Len Tingle on an OB with a cockup every other week. This week's mistake was Cathy's microphone falling off halfway through a link
Midlands comes from the conservatory at Pebble Mill. East Midlands takes this programme too which I think is silly, but hey... it's presented by Adrian Goldberg... can't think what he's done before.

I'm sure he used to be on Radio WM during the Saturday footie matches. He's also done a few reports for Watchdog as well.
He presents the WM Breakfast show for Birmingham and the Black Country, and as has been stated...presented and reported on Watchdog. He also does various reports for Inside Out.
