I've just been watching 'The Pilot Show' on Channel 4, a show where "money hungry celebrities and unsuspecting members of the public are set up" ... an interesting idea but I'm not sure they've pulled it off very well. It's not been very entertaining - the parts with the members of the public surrounded by lap dancers are pretty boring, and the celebrities aren't exactly ridiculed.

The best parts of the show so far have been where they've filmed a 'pilot' using a celebrity and then got some actors to cause havoc. My favourite so far was that Alex from Big Brother was hiding in the cupboard to 'surprise his biggest fan' - but she went into the living room and started having sex with her boyfriend! Alex has to sneak out.

I can't decide whether I like this programme or not... what are your views on it?

It was pretty boring, the lap dancers werent of course, but it wasn't very interesting. Good concept though.

The reason for the lapdancers was due to many trailers on E4 earlier this year boasting a brand new programme called Lapdance Island. Punters were able to ring in to enter this competition in which they would do many tasks on some island in the sun whilst lapdancers paraded them trying to put them off.

A week before the Pilot Show started on E4. There was a new trailer saying that Lapdance Island didn't exist but they managed to dupe unexpecting volunteers into something that didn't exist hence the little excerpts within the Pilot Show.

I knew that and I've seen the trailers too, but I still thought the audition bits with the lapdancers were boring (not the dancers themselves obviously). It was hyped up so much... "Unsuspecting members of the public who think they are on a new reality TV show completely ridiculed and conned and made to look stupid" - this didn't seem to be the case.
