Obviously we're not replacing Alex Jones but I'd like to see Andrew Hayden Smith reunited with Angellica Bell. Angellica is great on The One Show and she had a fantastic chemistry with Andrew in their CBBC days. Alex is just very flat in my opinion.

Alex has said they are doing guest hosts until they find a suitable replacement: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/11275639/alex-jones-one-show-hasnt-signed-matt-bakers-replacement/
I am surprised that Matt hasn't offered to stay on a bit longer to help out given the circumstances.
I wonder if it will be his last show considering the circumstances. Still no replacement named either, but that's not too unusual nowadays - they probably were just going to go through guest hosts for a while.

According to the 'insiders' the rota is male stars such as Patrick Kielty, Marvin Humes and Michael Ball, and from the sounds of the article the producers seem rather keen to just stick with the rotating second presenter as it keeps the show 'dynamic', although this is an article in The Sun...

For the love of god no. He can’t host every TV show going. Next you’ll be saying he should replace Tom Bradby on News at Ten.
Give someone else a chance. Patrick Kielty is my preference... but it would be difficult to commit for him with his wife and kids in America.
Honestly, I know a lot of people won’t agree but I think rylan would suit the roll

He has on a couple of occasions - most recently with Stacey Dooley.
Has Rylan actually ever hosted it - he must have done I'd have thought, but it's one show I can't really remember him fronting.
I think he's at a stage in his career where being tied to a nightly show would actually hold him back rather than help him.
