We'll see if Corbyn gets the same line of inane fluffy questioning that Mr and Mrs May had this evening before that part of the BBC can even be considered impartial.

Admit it, the BBC sometimes gets it wrong and they did tonight.

No they didn't. The line of questioning was totally appropriate for the type of programme it is. No one expects hardline political questions on the One Show. Corbyn will be treated exactly the same in a few weeks. No matter what you think of particular politicians they are human and it's not a bad thing for the public to see this side of them, especially at election time.

It seems like you have a chip in your shoulder.

I mentioned earlier that I wasn't expecting hardline questioning of May on her fox hunting comments earlier, yet it was a 25 minute borderline propaganda programme of which anyone with half a brain really doesn't care if May keeps the red box in the bedroom or not or what Philip May keeps in his part of the cupboard.

Nobody is denying that May is human, but at election time, even the C2DE's who watch The One Show deserve some form of political discussion between asking banal questions, even if it's done in a lighter form. This Morning and The View in the states can do it, so can The One Show for an election campaign.

Brexit was partially won because of misinformation online and on television. This rubbish doesn't help.

You're being bias now. I expect the same criticism of Jeremy Corbyn and Tim Farron when they come on the show for impartiality. Very Happy

I thought it was good to be honest.

You're being bias now.

What is it with that word? I see this everywhere online and it annoys the heck out of me

You can have a bias or be biased.... someone cannot 'be bias'

(unless you were using it ironically in which case apologies)

Now I wasn't expecting hard line questioning from Baker and Jones, but it was clearly pre-approved questions that got them on the show in the first place of which none had any relevance to voters.

Worth rememebering that it was Matt Baker who asked Cameron at the very end of his appearance "how do you sleep at night?" which caused a bit of a stir. I imagine he may have been warned not to ad-lib this time and stick to the scripted questions, and avoid accusations of bias during the election.

It's already been reported that Jeremy Corbyn will be appearing on The One Show in the runup to the election, and that he had declined the invitation of appearing with his wife. It'll be interesting to see if any of the leaders of other political parties (e.g. SNP) get an invitation to appear on the show.

Also can I ask everyone to try and stick to presentation rather than the wider politics.

Apparently the smaller parties have been offered interviews too.

That Baker/Cameron thing was so overblown. There's no way he meant it in a combative way.

Or warned that May would only answer pre-agreed questions, if reports from journalists covering other aspects of her campaign are accurate

Is this the Michael Crick tweet that has been denied by every reporter there...
They actually just prearranged which reporter would ask a question from various outlets and in what order. Which is standard Westminster practice. As it stops journalists asking the same question and allows better follow ups.

He later tweeted that she was actually taking off the cuff questions from everyone at her next event.
Only one tweet was retweeted thousands of times by Labour supporters though Wink

Can't blame Labour party supporters for that, though.

It's Crick's fault really.

Crick's world has sorta fallen in today, buses and the parking thereof. His big scoop has come to zilch.
