Although you could be onto something with the weekend idea, Julia Bradbury must be in with a shot

I think Julia could be a good choice - some form of experienced background, has presented programming from Watchdog to Countryfile, is well known to BBC 1 viewers and would be following in the footsteps of Nicky Campbell and Matt Baker who have made guest appearances presenting and would probably command a lower salary than Lorraine Kelly or Fern Brittain.

Assuming the BBC doesn't make radical changes to the format, whoever takes the seat next to Jason will have to have a level of gravitas and seriousness while also being able to "fool around" on their lighter moments, such as dressing up as ABBA and filming the video for Money, Money, Money , or having a race across a carpark on pogo sticks. I somehow can't imagine the likes of Myleene Klass or Louise Redknapp being successful in that role.

There's a few other medium profile female presenters kicking around the more worthy parts of the BBC schedules that would be good. Maybe someone from radio, I wonder what Victoria Derbyshire is like on telly? It would be a handy escape route from having to go up to Salford.

I think the only thing for Victoria is her lack of on-screen time, which they may want given Jason's lack of broadcasting experience.

Out of interest, was Jason Manford partly chosen for his chemistry with Christine Bleakley in screen tests?

Chris Evans' travel reporters from his radio show might be interesting for the 'Friday girl' ?

Sally Boazman, and/or Lynne Bowles ?

I think Gavin Scott and Jugulug would make an interesting combination for interviewing celebrities.

On BBC Radio 5 live, BBC creative director Alan Yentob was talking about it and he basically near enough said in other words that CB will continue for the time being on the One Show.

in my view they aint gonna hier some randomer from one region that only one region nos the only well known regional presenters are gordan burns, ranvir sing and riz lateef so there gonna need someone people know and like and this exactly why penny or fern should get it they would both get on wid jason and chris .

and as alterntive option Kate Garaway shes already done strictly, lets dance and the peoples quiz on the bbc and with her job on the line at GMTV she would probably go.

now i no a lot of you could argue chrisitne was a unknown well she wasent she had done past things on travel and in Northen ireland and was already a OB Presenter and reporter for the one show and also may have been hired for chemistry with adrian and the looks factor.

and one final name moria stuart

Funny, so am I. Chie's offering me big rewards to pair up with him, and not those of the financial kind.
