Sorry, Nobody in his position has a 'private life'. In most jobs anyone who did similar in a public position, would be asked to leave having fallen foul of bringing into disrepute grounds.
So you believe anyone on TV is fair game for intrusive investigation into their private affairs do you? Or is it just people you don't like?
Any broadcaster has to conform to societies views of decency, I neither liked or disliked Manford prior to the allegations. My view has been of course changed following these allegations and subsequent acceptance of them by Jason.

I outlined what I thought of society's two-faced, backhanded approach to the highly subjective concept of "decency". If for a minute it was thought that he was not in control of his sexual proclivities, then yes, I would agree that he would not be a suitable on-air presence. But he was able to distinguish, like any professional person, between his off-air personal wants and needs and his on-air responsibilities. The employers and the media should have distinguished too. If every (straight) man in a position of responsibility who ever looked at a bit of female flesh on the internet was sacked or, as in this case, pressured to leave his job, we'd have nobody of any talent or ability working in these positions.
Has there been some competition or summat running for CIN?
Basically one of the three presenters chosen by text votes (money going to CIN) would have to do a task, from what I've Alex had to go down a sewer in Central London and shadow one of the sewermen for the day, another task was doing a night shift on Bin collecting and the other was washing windows on the UK's tallest building which Chris had to do.

What a coincidence/lucky for them (delete as applicable) that Chris Evans won!
There have been four running over the last four weeks - one a week with the challenge being shown on the Friday show (as The One Show isn't on tonight the fourth film was shown on CiN instead).
Chris did the first one - a lunchtime service with Gordon Ramsay at Claridges. Alex did the second one - going down a sewer. Jason did the third one - a shift on the bins. Chris did the fourth one.
Each one was decided by a text vote and web nomination.

It's a shame to see Jason go. I thought the One Show had been better than ever of late although I do see why he has gone. As for new presenter I don't think Matt Alwight would get it but Chris Hollins springs to mind if he wants to move on from the sport and he's popular. Matt Baker main stand in presenter goes well with Alex. If you want to go down the comic route again Russell Howard springs to mind. and as outsiders Richard Hammond and Mark Chapman. And Although I’d be surprised if this happened I’d love to see Jack Dee.
