I like the idea of giving the Friday edition a different feel to mark the start of the weekend.
Chris was pretty good, although the partnership with Alex needs a bit of settling in. The odd thing was that Chris is the more experienced presenter but Alex is the more experienced One Show presenter so they were both influencing and learning off each other
Plus, the 'run across the batter' thing was pretty dumb.
It's been done a couple of times before, most famously on Brainiac but as a piece of science it's quite good telly (and not something that a viewer could recreate). It was done quite nicely tonight, and given a Friday angle - it was 'batter' rather than 'custard'
Whoops - on BBC HD the One Show logo stayed onscreen for a few seconds at the end of the credits, then we got a quick glimpse of Alex still sitting on the sofa with Jason standing around, followed by an "Apologies" slide, then straight into
The Green Green Grass.

Odd that the episode never made it to iPlayer...
Is it really that difficult to edit out the mistake at the end, or even just leave it in?
It should be no different to any other edition. The have to cut off anything after the end of the programme no matter if it's planned or not
There may well be some automation involved though. The fact that there was no ident or trailer played out after the programme may mean that the iPlayer version needed some human intervention. Even so, it's been almost a week now.
