I think there maybe a bit of a change to the set. The part of the set with the audience had a change.

In addition there is precious little info bar the quote on Jordan's site which I presume came from a Press Office person who may also be mixing up their set/studio terms. I'm sure if he's floating around the thread he can give us a bit of info either way.
Hi Pete,
It
was
a direct quote, but it does seem that set/studio got mixed up at their end as well as mine. Didn't help that I wrote studio underneath and didn't read back over it before publishing. My mistake.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention though, will change it now.
No obvious changes, but there are definitely more colours behind jason and alex than there were pre-HD (I don't know if these were there after TOS's summer return?).
Alex and Jason seem fine so far - I think it's more obvious Alex is an experienced presenter and Jason is new, but seem no different to Adrian and Christine to be honest.

I liked the fact that they kind of bounced off eachother

A respectable debut from the duo.
They are both very capable however Jason Manford needs to wind down a bit on the jokes and Alex Jones, loosen up and don't worry about timing and other such things. But it's their first show and it will take a few weeks for the partnership to develop. It's not terrible and they're both likeable so The One Show shall continue fine.

Please don't link to wikipedia when providing a source for rumours, it is
not
a reliable source. It doesn't do you any favours, and many find it irritating when they see it being used as a 'source'. Tabloid paper websites aren't much better though are generally accepted (albeit often taken with a pinch of salt).
As for tonight's One Show I thought they worked well as a pairing.

Personally, I'd put Wikipedia above tabloid websites as a source when people understand how to use it correctly. Wikipedia is at least trying to be accurate and provides it's own sources so that things can be checked, newspapers are just trying to sell advertising and their prime concern is not accuracy, in fact their whole business model is based on misleading their readers.
Alex Jones, loosen up and don't worry about timing and other such things
Erm, timing is one of the most important things to worry about on a live broadcast. If you didn't worry about timing when presenting you wouldn't know if you're on air or not, talking over a report or just interupting people.
Have a search on the BBC Sport website for Jake Humprey's blog - he did a posting with a recording of his talkback for the end of a programme last year, and just listen to the number of different counts and times being worried about.
