Does anyone know if it will have a new studio.

I heard rumours there was a studio ready to go and they were wating to find christines replacement and get her presenting with Jason before they went in to it.

There are two issues at hand here.

Firstly there is the difference between the words "studio" and "set." It is possible that there might be a new set, to put into the space they have the the Media Centre building, however it is less likely they are going to move somewhere else, indeed the suggestion that there is a space sitting empty and waiting is highly unlikely given that they'd have to pay rental for the space.

Secondly where is this claim that they are getting a new set/studio? Could you please link to an article, page, tweet that backs up what you're saying rather than just "they said" ?

Slightly happier than before, yes but not extactic. To be fair it does actually have a reference at the particular point, albeit to iMediamonkey rather than a BBC press release which waters it down slightly.

Nevertheless, I'm sure you can appreciate it seems odd for them to have two studios in operation as was suggested in this thread hence the initial cynicism. In addition there is precious little info bar the quote on Jordan's site which I presume came from a Press Office person who may also be mixing up their set/studio terms. I'm sure if he's floating around the thread he can give us a bit of info either way.

Is the current set being shot in HD or just the reports? It's quite possible they're still shooting in SD simply because the set isn't good enough quality for HD if they intend to replace it.

I should point out that for every actual bit of news posted on here there are about five posts of utter guff based on either lies from wikipedia or complete nutters who think that Big Brother steal their mock set designs via the medium of bad Daily Star journalism (search for enyafreak for more info on that one)

Can you not type in English? People would be a lot more accomodating of your wittering on if you actually spoke in sentances and had at least some words with all the letters correct and in the right order. As it is, you come across (maybe unfairly, we can't tell) as a cretin.



The reference on wikipedia points to Jordan Howell's (another poster on this site) blog. Where he doesn't provide a source for the new studio.

I do not believe for one second they will have upgraded the infrastructure in their Media Centre set to HD just for a few weeks before moving to a studio, so somewhere someone has got their wires crossed. If you'd asked "On the One Show's Wikipedia page, it says they're supposed to be getting a new set when Christine's replacement starts, has anyone heard anything about that?" you'd have got much more sensible responses and much less argument.
