Ellie Crisell? She is absolutely terrible.

I will definitely be backing Penny Smith. She is extremely experienced, got a good record of journalism behind her, and she has an infectious, likeable, great personality. She is perfect for the role. She would be surely very well suited for Jason Manford and Chris Evans. They would all get on like a house on fire. She has a wicked sense of humour as well. It would be quite a contrast from her breakfast work.

If Penny does to go the One Show, that would really be sticking two fingers up to GMTV and ITV.

I agree with you, I think Penny would be a great host. It be so funny if the one show grows and gmtv fails. My question is, Is there much point Christine Bleakley returning to the one show for a month as it's having a revamp?

Hope not!

(Kelly) She recently said: "I'm flattered to have received great offers from both the BBC and ITV. I am torn. I hope to make a decision on my future very shortly."

Wasn't that exactly what Bleakley said a couple of weeks back?

The paragraph which precedes it makes it clear to whom it refers.

If the One Show moved to Scotland you could see Lorraine being far more interested. Was there a particular reason for it moving to London after the pilot series?

The BBC should have waited to get Christine's contract sorted out before hiring Jason Manford, as he was appointed clearly with working alongside her in mind.

Whoever is appointed will need to first screen test with him I would imagine.

The tabloids were suggesting Mylene Klass this morning.

I agree, I would have thought the beeb would have secured her future before picking a "compatable" presenter for her to work with.

I suspect his name was Adrian Chiles.

However The One Show in Birmingham is not the same show as The One Show now. The One Show is now the UK's most watched celeb interview show (and not made by an entertainment dept...) and is based on a celebrity on the sofa throughout the show - which means being based in London. You are NOT going to get the same calibre of celeb in Glasgow...
