I think the complete opposite. Myleene and John are dreadful and have no charisma between them. Gethin and Gloria seemed to get on well and could talk to the guests properly.
Gloria Hunniford seemed out of place to me. The Myleen and John pairing works well in my opinion.

I've always thought John Sergeant is better at solo presenting-- I always enjoy his guest presenting of HIGNFY for instance. I don't think he has a chemistry with Mylene somehow-- may be he would have been a better pairing with Gloria? 
In my view the eclectic nature of The One Show is its main appeal, in that it's a pick-and-mix of genres: A chat-show, current affairs, natural history, science, history and consumer affairs all rolled into one. There's always something that grabs my attention in The One Show, whether it be the special guest or some item about bats!
