The One Show

Seems the old thread got archived... but I couldnt not mention the beautiful christmas titles which have just aired tonight, complete with a lovely festive re-arrangement of the theme.

Yeah, it was great to see some proper Christmas themed titles as most shows don't bother. I liked the rearrangement of the music

Shame the studio looks awful though.

I agree. Titles, music and even features are all very Christmassy, the studio on the other hand hasn't got much festive cheer, though I do like the lights in the trees outside.

What's the deal with The One Show? I remember it was on for a stint in c.2006 but then went off air. It's been back for ages now without a break. Is this a permanent arrangement?

It's been commisioned for a year after apparantly being a success last series.

How does the one show work, production wise? Is each report done by an indie? How many different production companies are involved?

I have heard they will be moving studio at some point due to sound, and I think I was told they could go back to Mail Box not 100% sure on that though.

Its being commisioned till March 2009.

Rating wise it has being a big hit, often getting over 4 million and only a few weeks ago hit 5 million. Its share is a nearly always over 20%.
