'When Mark B is on the scene, turn off your sense of humour'.
I will go back to being serious. Let me know when you've all given up being schoolteachers.
God you all grew up quick sometime today....

Seems the old BBC is going the way of Australian TV:
THE ONE to watch - seven
still THE ONE - nine

They are going to use THE ONE logo on screen in the special trailers for a while I expect, wether they use it on the ident is another matter. I would like them to, they could have THE ONE it it's box format in the bottom left on the ident and then after the main action on the ident whatever they may be they can have THE One change to BBC ONE with a special sound effect, I'd quite like this and on trailers it could do it the other way around with BBC ONE throughout the trailer in the box and then THE ONE in the box when the programme and time text appears.
And whoever said BBC ONE idents are normally crap has got to be joking. The Balloons have been brilliant and could last for another year or so yet, the majority of the previous globes have been good for their time. The BBC ONE COW in 1986 was a good move towards computer graphics, the previous globes stood out. Their arn't really many idents right now that spring to mind that I like more than the balloons obviously I loved the old 2s but they are no longer in service.

Can't say I really see the point in promoting BBC ONE in a major (and expensive) billboard campaign. It's not like we've never heard of it before. Okay, so there's a new look on the way, but I'm sure most of the general public don't care... and a sizeable proportion probably won't even notice.
I think the poster campaign is going to be good if the BBC release a bit more info each day, needless to say I haven't seen any yet there don't seem to be any in Stockport yet, I've asked my Dad to look out for them when he's on his way to work.

Well I remember the good old b2 ad's they jsut went on and on and on..........
Anyway well I know what you mean about high profile marketing but b2 amounted to nothing accept Richard E Grant's face being engraved in our heads against a blue background.
Am looking forward to the relauch you know
Just hope it's good?

I've finally seen a The One billboard! I thought I wouldn't be lucky enough to spot one but, lo and behold, guess what's appeared on the A1 Carriages car lot in Crayford? I do believe that site has been used for BBC ads before, too...

I've seen two on Ilford High Road (Essex or North East London whihc ever you prefere) one is round the corner from me on a rotating billboard which doesn't because it hasn't worked for years so they only place one ad on it instead of threee & the other is near Seven Kings BR Station
