THE ONE

Driving through Chesterfield this morning, I saw a huge red billboard with a corruption of what I'm sure will be the BBC ONE 'box'. It read:

|T|H|E|
O N E

Looks like the re-brand is on course for the new season later in the month.

I'll reserve judgement, but I've seen a couple of programme promos with the programme details left aligned in the top left had corner.

Indeed - I was *extremely* happy about that!

I saw one at the bottom of the Iron Bridge in Horsham earlier .. and nearly crashed the car!! It seems the Beeb like this form of pseudo advertising .. a'la CBBC bugs buildup, but not tell anyone what they are for!

Not a particularly exciting advert but it gets noticed! Bright red background and THE ONE written in huge letters!! I'll try to post a pic later this evening!

The one I saw is near my hotel, and I have my digital camera with me. I'll get a shot of it tonight and stick it on my web page.

Yeah that's .. er .. the one !! he he he!

They've just put that up around the corner from me, and I can see it from my bedroom. It's in quite a strange place for a billboard, its around some old houses that they are knocking down to build some new ones. Now I just have to wait and listen to see what people think.

The Gill Sans font, dont go right. The ONE, the E looks really small by the other two letters. and TWO, the W and the O over powers the T. They should be a little wider.

Gill Sans isnt the best font ever...

It looks cool, and gets people guessing as to what they are advertising (Bugs Stylee!)
They could use this logo on the TV, for programme trailers at the beginning it could say
|T|H|E|
O N E
and then it could fade out and at the end
|B|B|C|
O N E
I can't wait for this easter! :
