The Last Leg's fallen off air after some rather dramatic BT colour bars. No music over the C4 apology.

They haven't used music for a very very long time, and the text still looks squashed. Just crashed back into the show now with a brief and humorous mention from Adam Hills.

I have to admit, although their CAs are guilty of the common routine of saying something every thirty seconds, I commend Channel 4's laid back commentary. "Of course this would happen on my shift, I've just had a nice cup of tea..."

Reminds me of when Stand Up To Cancer when belly up in the early hours and fell off air for a considerable amount of time. The CA (the same one who's on tonight IIRC) somehow made a tedious incident oddly entertaining. At one point, when the problems were starting to take a very long time, he encouraged viewers to "stick the kettle on" and he'd "give us a shout when it's all sorted."

Happened bang on 11pm as well, did someone mess up the booking with the BT Tower?

Kind of reminds me of this:

The show fell off air at exactly 11:00, briefly showing a BT testcard. Presumably the same thing happened on C4?

So C4 air their biggest drama in 23 years - not a comment.

They break down for a couple of minutes and it's posted here within seconds.

What is ridiculous with that is how long it took BBC2 to put a card up. Channel 4 were quicker off the mark tonight, and we just got various colour bars with BT writing, rather than a full on advert for their transmission services like on that occasion.

Very similar, except the feed came back for about ten seconds and they lost it again.

But wasn't the Something for the Weekend breakdown to do with daylight savings, since it was the Sunday after the clocks changed.

I wonder if Channel 4+1 will show it all again in an hour, or just blank out the whole thing with a 'legal reasons' slide?

Probably show it as broadcast, no reason not to.

This place has always prioritised presentation before programming.

It was a perfectly timed breakdown though, cutting away as Stephen Merchant was starting a story and cutting back as the studio was laughing away.
