The BBC2 '2' has become an icon, and, in much the same way as the Channel 4 '4', I think will run and run for many years to come, just in ever more new and different forms.

Throughout today we've had some rather old 2s,what most people have already got,and a bit drab.
From late evening,the've been really treating us! What next? Paper Cut Out? (Yes I know it was withdrawn ages ago,just being ironic at such a rare (and boring) 2!
EDIT: I'm 80 percent sure there's 2 more idents left to go...

No sightings yet of Catalyst, Woodpecker, Wave Night, Optic, Paint Pot, or the Kebabs or Daleks. My prediction for 12.45 - it's an old black-and-white film, and it's not widescreen - either Paint or Paint Pot.
For the closedown, if it has to be one current ident, I'd like it to be Paint for old time's sake, or Optic in full, as I'd like to see if the 2 settles down and stops at the end of it.
Ideally though, I'd like to see Steam, Silk, Firecracker or Diary - but I know I'm living in fantasy land...
