How do they actually decide what ident will go on next?

Looks like the gorillas have already been put down, then - the swan's headed that way now, and the daleks have been EXTERMINATED!!
I wonder why the Dalek idents even made it to become regular idents at all; they were used for Doctor Who Night in Nov 1999, and for idents that are so obviously tied in to a particular programme - and one that the BBC never even show - it seems rather odd. Most other theme night idents were never seen again.

And the Red Dwarf Night idents. We will enver see tham again.
BTW does anyone knwo if the Red Dwarf night programmes will be repeated again? I taped them, but sadly wiped it off.
The programmes were:
Cant Smeg, Wont Smeg- a version of Can't Cook, Won't Cook hosted By Ainsley, but with the red dwarf cast pretending to be their charachters
Red Dwarf Bloopers: A cock-up programme lieik Aunties New Bloomers, wih Red Dwarf cock-ups only
Universe Challenge: Like university challenge but hosted by Bamber Gasgoine (Jeremy (or Chris Barrie dressed up as Mr. paxman) was blown up at the beginning) and was the cast vs. the fans. The Fans won
A-Z of Red Dwarf-an hour long documentry about the history of Red dwarf.
An episode from series 6 was also shown, but this has been repeated since on UK Gold.

Well I'm willing to make copies of idents for ppl eg KEBAB 3 & EXTERMINATE on videotape in exchange for another videotape containing old '2' idents from 1991, I also found on a tape today the TOTP 2 special on New Years Eve 1999, the ident before this was a special one for nineties nite which featured clips from the 90s, the original Paint & Car idents accompanied with the music from POWDER & SILK, I presume no one else has this as I haven't seen it anywhere and I only found it today!

8.00 was...Powder - for the third time today! That must be it's final ever showing!
And may be worth noting that the 7.15 junction contained the only animation - Ballet - shown so far today.
With just 8 or 9 junctions to go, we still haven't seen: Catalyst, Woodpecker, Optic, Wave Night, Blade nationally, Aerial, Water, Excalibur, any Kebabs, any Gorillas, any Daleks, Predator, Duck or Paint Pot. So some of these must have already gone forever!
