That Sky actually agreed to that is unbelievable. 3e have no public service obligations whatsoever and their only programming that could even concievably fall into this category is their very short news updates in the evening (which don't even sit well on a channel which launched screaming that they were "pure entertainment").
3e is (Europa League nothwithstanding) direct Sky One competition, which is the main reason I can't believe Sky agreed to move it.
That's also nice, I'm generally impressed with the new TV3 idents, there really simple, and some channel in the UK xx-cough*itv*cough-xx should learn from them.
Major technical difficultys on TV3 today, a static picture was up for about a half hour, then a TV3 slide came up for about an hour. Back to normal now.
Must say I love the promos on TV3 for the new season of V, starting this week. They end with the three logo peeling off to reveal an alien skin underneath! Very good!
I think TV3 have really improved from a few years back. They are now challenging RTE at certain times of the day and I likie the fact they produce their own home grown shows
Today on tv3 at the 4pm and 5.30pm junctions and edited version of the bridge/carpark ident was aired it showed a different signal interfering with clips from the new show 'V', they also have adverts for it as mentioned above. I will upload a recording of it soon.
