After watching "The Return Of The Goodies" isn't it about time either BBC1, BBC2 or BBC3 showed repeats of their BBC shows and even get permission from ITVplc to show their few episodes as well!!!!!!

I never saw all the epiosdes as I was born in 1971, but the episodes I did watch were very funny, even at that young age. I know that they would be dated and some of the humour is actually non-pc nowadays (not that I believe in all of the pc mumbo jumbo - if its humourous then its funny if its aimed as an attack then its wrong!) but I would like to see most, if not all, episodes just to see how good they actually were and to see if their humour still stands today (the clips they showed tonight sure did - in general)

How can that possibly be?!?! And there was the BBC thinking that 19 million playouts of a trailer promoting the programme would ensure that you wouldn't miss it.

The Goodies is much more slapstick than I imagined. It has that Benny Hill type 'speeded film' effect.

Would have loved to have seen Tim, Graeme and Bill ride the bike round the studio but clearly age has wearied them. Laughing

Graeme Garden reminded me of an old-fashioned Vic Reeves for some reason. (in the original).

So it wasn't just me who thought Vic Reeves.

I wonder if last nights show was a way of the BBC testing the waters to see if The Goodies is still popular and should make a returm, albeit in repeats.
