Thanks for the pictures; the set looks weird because its small and the audience looks quite small. Not sure how people who are hoping for a replica of the arena version are going to take to that but in all it should still be a good watch.

You'd be surprised just how much a decent lens can make a place look stupidly bigger than it is. Anyone who has visited the Top Gear hangar will know that it's actually tiny compared to what the wide shots make it out to be.

Does anyone know if Jody Bunting is involved in the new Gladiators? I hope so.

Its the same with the Big Brother house. Thats only about 60-70 feet but it looks a lot bigger. My point was with the crowds. I think the new version will have a much different feel than the original did.

Have the games not changed? They done the uphill treadmill and pyramid in the original series.

Lorns, there's only one new game, and that's earthquake. The contender and Gladiator are up on a platform, and the object of the game is to wrestle each other off. There are quite major safety concerns about it though.

Really? What like no safety nets or super duper crash mats? Bring it on baby.
Actually didn't one of the previous Glads really hurt themselves once?
I'm not really sadistic.Honest!!

Quite a few Gladiators hurt themselves badly...

Warrior dislocated his kneecap in Atlaspheres,
Panther fell and seriously injured herself on Tilt.
Nightshade also had a VERY serious injury on Tilt, which signalled the beginning of the end for her.
Zodiac fell off Pole-Axe in training, and this ended her Pole Vaulting career.
Jet's career ended when she injured herself on Pyramid.

So yeah, there were quite a few bad injuries!

Gladiators is one of those programs which I know far too much about. If you ask me anything about Gladiators, I'll probably know the answer.
