I'm not a great fan of recycling old programmes. I enjoyed it first time round but i'm not getting ecstatic about its return. Will probably appeal to todays youngsters.
Quite like the idea of Ian Wright, Wright, Wright presenting it though.
At least it's not "Celebrity Gladiators". 90's nostalgia certainly seems to be in full swing now doesn't it? Makes me feel old. Media Guardian makes a good point asking whether this is a sign that the era of "mean TV" is finally edging towards its welcome end. It's not necasery or a step forward for TV but I'd rather be transported back to a time when Realty TV was seeing people in spangly leotards trying to knock each other off podiums with giant sticks then 'Big Brother' trying to out-nasty itself every year.
Odd isn't it? Way back when, when ordinary members of the public done tv shows it was classed as a gameshow or light entertainment .nowadays anything that has joe bloggs innit now seems to be classed as as reality tv.
Thanks BB for lowering the tone of television viewing and participation.
If they can bring back Gladiators, then they can bring back The Crystal Maze and show it on ITV/Channel4 ! Surely? :

Biggest set ever, you say? Hmm, biggest set before this would be The Crystal Maze so
maybe those still wanting their Crystal Meth, sorry, Maze fix may yet get it.
Wouldn't bet on Richard O'Brien reprising his role but who knows.
When it was on, I found
Gladiators
intensely boring. It seemed to me like boring people, who would irritate me immediately if I met them, running around a jazzed up children's playground. Very tiresome, very stale, and very pointless.
Even with Ian Wright, a rather excellent presenter, hosting, I simply don't see how this version will be any better. I would like to see a return for
The Crystal Maze
though, even though Richard O'Brien and Ed Tudor-Pole would be hard acts to follow.
