Long shot but does anyone else get interference with HD channels when a helicopter goes past?

Not for me, though.

But at the start of the month, high air pressure completely caused disruption to the signal, IIRC. Wasn't able to get COM4/5/6 in particular.

Talking Pictures has moved to COM6 - and with some publicity to note, too. Incidentally, CBS Drama now broadcasts from 1pm - 11pm on the same multiplex.

That's almost certainly multipath reflections from the helicopter causing interference. We used to get ghosting on analogue when light aircraft flew near to our house (we lived close to an airfield)

It's basically the same principles as RADAR...

TV and Satellite Week's Christmas edition has jumped the gun on a potential launch of PBS America on Freeview. Channel number has apparently been outed - LCN 94.

Channel has launched today on Freeview.

It’s carried on COM8.

Edit: Sony Movie Channel+1 added to Local mux, timeshares with Tiny Pop between 10pm - 6am.

I know I asked before Christmas and I realise it depends on individual televisions with Freeview but did True Christmas on channel 62 revert to True Movies automatically for anyone this week? I can't work out whether it's my television with "automatic service update" switched on that has seen the channel name change or whether my television has been retuned while I've been away (long story).

It depends entirely on your Freeview kit. Some will automatically update, some won’t. It also depends on your relatives. Some will rescan the box, some won’t. You’re the only person who can find out the answer, good luck on your quest.

DVB-T2 'Freeview' branded receivers are mandated by the DTG 'D-Book' to automatically update channels etc, though sometimes they have to be 'shown' the mux that has been updated (by tuning into one of that mux's existing channels), or else it's a 24 hr or so wait, when the box does a quiet full band scan and sniff of each receivable mux when in standby

I probably should rescan, I still have Sky News on 132 in the bedroom Smile Mind you my other box which I used last month as a stopgap when enough snow built up on the LNB to block the Sky signal (communal dish), still had Sky News on channel 82, which must be going back, what, 10 years now?

Although my ancient Panasonic T2 device must predate that rule because mine can't automatically update.

Yeah, I have a Panasonic and a Humax, both T2 and neither of them do it

I've got a 2010 T2 Sony, and a 2012 T2 Sony that both do, and I've also seen a 2013 T2 LG do it.
My You View box also does it. YMMV !
