A few updates have since occurred on Freeview:
True Christmas (?!) has been moved to COM6, and Chart Show TV has launched for the first time in three years on the Local mux.

Looks like it has partly been triggered by the closure of TJC Choice earlier this month on the platform.

What is the deal with Forces TV? Is it linked to British Forces Broadcasting Service, has it pres changed since 2014?

Forces TV is the Services Sound and Vision Corporation's UK tv channel for the British armed forces and those who are interested in the military,

SSVC are also contracted by the MOD to run the BFBS radio service and a television service, which largely includes simulcasting UK tv services to bases abroad.

The presentation you have on TV Live is new. Up until at least mid-September (my last recordings), the presentation was this: http://presentationarchive.com/uk/forces-tv/forces-tv-2014/

Amongst its military themed programming, from next month, it'll also be showing "Knight Rider" and "Street Hawk" !

The last time I watched Forces TV, they also show M.A.S.H. and the Phil Silvers Show which are slightly more military based!

I'd have thought if a military based TV channel is going to show any classic US TV series from the 1980's, The A-Team would perhaps be a bit more appropriate than shows featuring either the Hoff driving a souped up talking car that can't be easily damaged to fight crime, or a cop riding a souped up motorcycle that (it was implied) could be easily damaged to fight crime.

That said, the original series of Knight Rider is a classic (YMMV) ... Street Hawk, not so much!

Forces TV have shown the A-Team in the past!

What they seem to show more than anything though is Hogan's Heroes! Though their copies of the first 4 seasons are some quite old beat-up prints (with an early 90s Viacom ident at the end), rather than the pristine HD ones ITV4 had when they ran the first 3 seasons a few years ago (Forces show seasons 4-6, which ITV4 didn't, and their copies of 5 & 6 are the remastered ones at least).

Another thing about the ITV4 screenings is they were missing the laugh track on most episodes, but it's there on the Forces TV ones.
