It may have been more widespread. The first 6 minutes of my recordings of the 8pm junction on BBC ONE HD and TWO HD failed. I'm in the Midlands.

We're aware of a fault with some Freeview/YouView HD services at the moment. Please retune to SD services.

Odd, me too but I've been watching the HD Mux since about 7 and no problems at all. Unless it was just enough to affect recordings

Had no issues with BBCB from Crystal Palace. Managed to watch EastEnders.

Every regional/national set of transmitters is fed with a specific customised version of PSB 3. Because there are currently 4 national versions of BBC 1 HD, plus 8 or 9 versions of ITV/UTV/STV HD, so perfectly possible for PSB3 to fall over in some areas, but not others

Showbiz TV pulled off air on LCN 80 (GMAN mux). Probably has something to do with the sale of their Sky slot.

2nd August 2017 - Freeview's EPG will once again, change channel numbers for the Children's, News, Adult, Text and streamed channels.
Option A has been chosen as the basis for the change, following a consultation with viewers and broadcasters (which I wholeheartedly support).
Entertainment and Shopping:
1 - 99, 140 - 199
Children's: 200 - 229
News: 230 - 249
Text: 250 - 259
Streamed Channels: 260 - 299
SD Simulcast Area: 610 - 669
Adult: 670 - 699

At least with this retune, it safeguards the EPG from any change for the next few years, especially with regards to the expanded channel listings.
Meanwhile - JSTV and Kyknet, two subscription based streamed channels, have been removed from Freeview on LCN 246 and 247.

Not much there anyway, with the focus turning towards the retune.

I'll never be fully happy with any changes until the shopping channels are given their own section and the channels are actually put into a slightly better order with all the sister channels grouped together a la Freesat at least. The day that happens I'll be able to stop having to reorder the channels on my TV and can just retune and leave it as is (mostly!)

There is scope for a shopping section; there's enough channels to justify introducing one - and even broadcasters including Channel 4 have called for this in the consultation.
QVC and Ideal World, however, have held low EPG positions on the platform since its early years, and will wrangle to keep those slots regardless.
Also; the 14 hour a week requirement is being fully implemented. The EPG squats are, at least, given a stay of execution until the end of their contract. Renewing the slot would mean adhering to the requirements, otherwise they'll be shunted off Freeview.
EPG squats have been used as a strategic effort by broadcasters to retain slots in case capacity becomes available. Future-proofing, yes, but of no benefit to viewers as they air overnight. Digital UK have had to make a compromise, and although we won't see EPG squats get wiped off Freeview, they're cracking down on the issue.
